Category page, post titles do not display
|Status:||In Progress||Start date:||04/20/2013|
I have a category page with blog posts.
The title of the posts do not display on any category page.
Emailed you login details.
I see the title now, but the page title on this theme isn't good.
I cannot HIDE the page title in admin anymore, it's always set to "show", but also, any blog type page has the same title.
If i have Blog, "blog" is a good title, but i have lets say "News" which is a category on the blog, the title still says "Blog". this is wrong and very rigid.
The page title should be Category name, Post name, etc. not the same on every page.
If you then turn off page title, so the above doesn't happen, the on the post page title disappears too.
It should work like all other WP sites/themes.
if you want to define the post index page, fine call that "Blog"
But any category/archive pages should retain their title as they are in WP, "news", "personal", "archive for 2012"
and each individual blog post should keep its title "Hello World".
if you need screenshots or more explanation let me know.
1. "If you then turn off page title, so the above doesn't happen, the on the post page title disappears too" - this will be fixed in the nearest update.
2. Separate page title settings for blog, archive, category etc. has been added to the future feature list.
I dont really want separate settings for blog, archive, category, I just want your theme to take the default title from Wordpress.
If the category is titled "news" then the main title of the page should read "news"
If I select a different category called "events", the main page title should read "events", Not "news", not "blog" or anything I set in your admin settings.
I believe your theme is missing core templates, like Author.php, Archive.php, Category.php, Tag.php
This is and should be a requirement for any theme.
